About Leon Makovicka

Leon Makovicka


Originally a native farm boy from Nebraska, Leon adopted Missouri as his temporary home in 1978. Leon is a graduate of Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He is married to Judy Makovicka.

Leon held various positions in the Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1978. He helped plant the Fulton Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1998. He is the President of the local low-power Christian radio station affiliated with 3ABN (3 Angels Broadcasting Network) since 2000. For the past 16 years, Leon has been an Associate and Department Manager at Walmart.

2 Corinthians 9:7, 8 states: "Let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."

Leon is very grateful to be a part of "Children for a New Haiti."
